1.Why is GekTV upgrading to a new Set Top Box (“GekBox”)?
GekTV is upgrading its network to deliver higher quality TV programming and continue to bring you the products and services you want well into the future. Due to its advanced technology, the New GekBox will significantly reduce and minimize any buffering issues you may have with the current GekTV Box.
2.How do I order my New GekBox?
The quickest and easiest way to receive your New GekBox is to use one of the options below. And, we will do the rest!

3.Will I pay more for my monthly subscription with the New GekBox?
No. In fact, not only will you see no change in your monthly bill, you will get to enjoy all of the other exciting new features the New GekBox offers at no additional monthly charge!
4.What new features are included with the New GekBox?
The New GekBox is much more than a set top box…it’s an online streaming full HD media player! Besides online streaming, the GekBox is a powerful full HD Media Player that can play Internet content including popular Apps such as YouTube, Facebook, Flickr, Sudoku and many more! With the GekBox, you can not only play all your premium GekTV programs, but also enjoy streaming videos / music / games and there is even a Karaoke App to entertain your family and friends!
5.When will I receive my New GekBox?
We will start shipping the new boxes in early October. After you complete the application and confirm your shipping address with us, you should receive your New GekBox in about 1 week. Most shipments arrive within 3-5 business days after leaving our warehouse via UPS Ground shipping; tracking numbers are available upon request.
6.How do I install the New GekBox?
Installing the equipment yourself is easy and can be done in a few simple steps:
1. Connect to your HD TV by plugging the GekBox HDMI into the 'HDMI' slot on the back of your GekBox and HDMI slot in the back of your HD TV;
2. Next, connect to the Internet by plugging an Ethernet cable (not included with your GekBox) into your Internet router and then into the Ethernet port on your GekBox;
3. Connect the AC power supply into the back of your GekBox and then plug into a 120 volt plug.
Don’t worry, when you receive your New GekBox package, you will also receive detailed instructions on how to install it including a Quick SETUP Guide and Quick START Guide.
7.Will my channel numbers change due to the New GekBox?
The New GekBox has a simpler user interface that no longer uses the previous GekTV channel numbers, but instead allows you to choose your favorite GekTV programs and titles from a menu driven list by selecting picture images of your favorite programs using your GekBox remote control.
8.Will my monthly billing cycle for GekTV change?
Your monthly billing cycle will remain on the 5th of each month. Your last monthly billing though the current Box will be on the activation date of your New GekBox, in which we will apply your original advance payment to your last month's prorated GekTV service. Starting October 1, the billing cycle for all current GekTV subscribers will change and you will be charged as usual for your previous month's GekTV service (for example September 1-30) through the New GekBox; and you will be billed on the 5th of each month thereafter.
9.Is there a deposit or other charges for the New GekBox?
Yes, there is a standard $100 deposit requirement which is refundable at cancellation upon return of the GekBox and accessories in good working condition.
10.What if I already have a deposit with the current Box?
If you already have a deposit with us for your current Box, we can simply apply the deposit amount as a credit to the standard $100 deposit requirement and charge or credit the remainder.
11.What if I have remaining months on my 12-month GekTV agreement?
If you have remaining months on your current GekTV agreement, your remaining 12-month commitment will transfer to the New GekBox until the remaining months expire, after which you will be on a month-to-month commitment.
12.When will my GekTV service start through the New GekBox?
Your GekTV service through the New GekBox will begin on the activation date of your New GekBox. Starting that date, you can unplug your current Box and install your New GekBox and start enjoying the New GekTV!
13.When will my GekTV service end through the Current Box?
Your GekTV service through the current Box will officially terminate on December 31, 2011, or on the activation date of your New GekBox, whichever is sooner.
14.What will happen if I don't upgrade to the New GekBox?
If you don't upgrade to the New GekBox prior to the cutoff date of January 1, 2012, you will not be able to access your GekTV service after that date.
15.Can I get additional New GekBox(s) for my home?
Your monthly subscription includes one (1) New GekBox at no additional charge. There is a limit of one GekBox per account; each additional GekBox for your home requires a separate GekTV subscription.
16.What do I do with my current Box after I activate the New GekBox?
For the convenience of our GekTV customers, we are not requiring that you ship back the current Box. However, please dispose of your current Box in the same environmentally friendly way that you would your old computers or TV’s by dropping it off at a Computer or E-Waste recycling center near you.
