MA FU (Lau Tan) , Correctional Services officer, moves in with his sons after retirement. FU treats his family members like prisoners without himself realizing it. To MA CHONG (Lai Lok Yi), his youngest son, home is no different to prison. The relationship between the father and son gets tense as FU starts to meddle in CHONG’s job with a law firm. MA KEUNG (Tsui Wing), FU’s second son, and LO LAI-SHEUNG (Lam Yi Kei), his wife, not only have to mediate between FU and CHONG but also bring up the two children left behind by KEUNG’s elder brother. Also lives under the same roof is FU’s wacky sister, MA YAU (Florence Kwok). The differences in experiences and values among the three generations give rise to all kinds of misunderstandings. At the end of the day, what can patch the gap among the members of this seemingly harmonious family?
Passing himself off as Cheung Lai Yuen Conservatory Director KIU BO-LUNG (Mak Cheung Ching), street musician TAI MING-BUT (Bobby Au Yeung) successfully escapes the arrest of government officers. On the other hand, the real LUNG has lost part of his memory in a fire, and is now working as a chef at a restaurant by the name of KO YAN. LUNG invites YAN to work at the kitchen of Cheung Lai Yuen, believing YAN’s musical achievement will help him move up the political ladder. What’s more, he breaks off YAN and BIN YUK-YIN’s (Linda Chung) engagement with a view to forestalling future problem. But YIN is not a person who will give up easily. She joins Cheung Lai Yuen, where she can get closed to LUNG. She meets woodcutter LEI TSOI-SHAN (Myolie Wu) there and the two soon become good friends. The relationship among SHAN, YIN, LUNG and YAN is not actually what it appears to be due to the swap in the two men’s identities. The true nature of their relationship is bound to come to light sooner or later, with the Belle Contest around the corner.

It turns out that her father, LUI CHUN-NAM (Hui Shiu Hung), is the mastermind of all this and YAT is his accomplice. On the other hand, HAP is at odds with her supervisor, SZETO KIU (Mandy Wong), which means her days are spent trying to outdo KIU. Pushed to her limit both at work and at love, this bizarre female cop has no choice but to fight back for the name of love!
TONG SHAP-YAT (Kevin Cheng) enters the underground boxing scene for money when he is learning Thai boxing with his senior brother KO WAI-TING (Wong Tak Bun) in Thailand, a decision he regrets for the rest of his life. In order to turn over a new leaf, he withdraws from the boxing scene and finds himself a job as a security guard at a sports goods company. His outspokenness attracts the attention of his supervisor CHAI PAK-FAI (Selena Li). YAT and office assistant BUT KA-SHING (Wong Ho Yin) do not get along at the beginning but they become friends after their misunderstanding is eliminated. SHING’s passion for Thai boxing impresses YAT. He picks up the sports again and also helps SHING improve at Thai boxing. He returns to the boxing gymnasium, too, where he started out as a boxer, determines to train SHING and deaf-mute boxer TING YAN-TSZ (Nancy Wu) to be boxing champions. Later, YAT and SHING’s amity is put to the test when TING tries to sow discord between them.
